Turn your backyard produce into something other than dinner! Enter your garden treasures in the First Annual Corn Days Tomato and Zucchini Growing Contest.

CONTEST DETAILS

Rules: All entries must be home-grown. All tomato entries must have portion of the tomato vine attached.

Commercial growers are not eligible to enter this contest.

Entry fee - $3.00 per category (up to four tomato categories and one zucchini category)

All entries must be submitted at St. George between the hours of 8:00AM and 10:00AM on Saturday, August 9th. Winners will be announced on the afternoon of Sunday, August 10th. Need not be present to win.

Tomatoes will be judged in four categories:

1. Biggest - any variety
2. Prettiest - Red varieties
3. Prettiest - Non-red or Multi-color
4. Ugliest - any variety

Biggest wins - measured by circumference
Prettiest wins - judged by Corn Days festival-goers
Ugliest wins - judged by Corn Days festival-goers

ZUCCHINI GROWING CONTEST

Turn those harvesting mistakes into prize winners! Turn your back for a minute and your zucchini plant produces the Hindenburg right in your own garden. Bring your zucchini monster in for a chance to be claimed the largest. Zucchini will be judged by length and weight.
